Statement
An interdisciplinary creation blending Japanese and Andean cultures with New Media — sound and visuals generated in real-time through pressure-sensitive textile sensors.
About the work
Nagomi (和み) integrates the resonance of electric guitars, tarkas, taiko drums, shakuhachis, and the depth of traditional songs and soundscapes — all in harmony with movements inspired by contemporary dance and shiatsu, a Japanese therapeutic massage technique.
The textile sensors translate touch and pressure into evolving visual and sonic landscapes, opening a space where two distant traditions meet through the body.
